After copying it to my computer and playing for a year or two, I wanted to learn more about how the game worked. I looked up some spoilers; one of the pages linked to Thangorodrim, and that was that.John Doehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07511399877604039933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2208890564265615027.post-36570257389650459042009-01-28T01:21:00.000+11:002009-01-28T01:21:00.000+11:00I read a review of Moria for the Amiga way back wh...I read a review of Moria for the Amiga way back when I still had my C64 in -- I think it was Ahoy! magazine -- and when I finally made the jump to a mighty 286 it was one of the games I sought out.

I found it and some PC version of Hack. Eventually I head about Angband as Moria with more stuff. I have no idea where I got it from, maybe a magazine cover disk or from a swap meet? I liked it as a game, but it really was a setup for Moria at Uni, which I'd classify as the genesis of my obsession.VRBoneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10654192372497663948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2208890564265615027.post-37145267543870506712009-01-27T16:23:00.000+11:002009-01-27T16:23:00.000+11:00you attempt to write the hobbityou failyou die.......you attempt to write the hobbit
you fail
you die....
play again?Maxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06071502512342812271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2208890564265615027.post-29313107919425149442009-01-27T14:54:00.000+11:002009-01-27T14:54:00.000+11:00Please note that the 'Based on JRR Tolkien' answer...Please note that the 'Based on JRR Tolkien' answer is correct only if you started looking for roguelikes based on the life of JRR Tolkien, not the works of JRR Tolkien.Andrew Doullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11099404183952971291noreply@blogger.com
