A roguelike developer's diary.
Yet another developer jumps aboard the bandwagon.
On the one hand, it's tiring/funny to see what appears to be people jumping on a bandwagon, on the other it's good that people are excited about the genre which was niche and getting smaller just a couple years ago.People get excited about ideas and want to go with them, and if it ends up being bad you can ignore it just like the millions of other games that you'll never have enough time for.
What are the other sci-fi galactic roguelikes? FTL? Zaga-33? Both excellent games. What else? I'd love to try them out. ;)
My sarcasm on the Internet thing doesn't appear to be working.I love the idea of mashing together my two favourite genres: Science Fiction and Roguelikes. There needs to be more...
Yeah, this was one of those entries that fell into that "not sure if serious" meme for me.I agree wholeheartedly with your reply, there need to be more; because that will increase the chances that someone will create a great one.We need a sci-fi equivalent of Brogue.
With the important caveat that it should a turn based Waking Mars more than a sci if brogue....
