On the one hand, it's tiring/funny to see what appears to be people jumping on a bandwagon, on the other it's good that people are excited about the genre which was niche and getting smaller just a couple years ago.
People get excited about ideas and want to go with them, and if it ends up being bad you can ignore it just like the millions of other games that you'll never have enough time for.

What are the other sci-fi galactic roguelikes? FTL? Zaga-33? Both excellent games. What else? I'd love to try them out. ;)

We need a sci-fi equivalent of Brogue.
With the important caveat that it should a turn based Waking Mars more than a sci if brogue....
