With two days to go in the Unangband competition, cjeep1962 is winning overall having killed Denethor, Steward of Gondor - a level 57 unique - with Aspir. Big Al is only one level behind, with an adjusted deepest kill of 56 with Mirest. It's down to the wire to see who the winner is...

Hmm, I thought the comp closed on the 10th, but it seems to have rolled over on the 8th...
Oh well, Gratz cjeep!
Andrew! Where art thou!
If I recall correctly, "where art thou" means "why are you". Source: "Romeo, Romeo, Where art thou Romeo?" -- Romeo and Juliet
Uhm, i thought 'why' was 'wherefore'. I might be wrong anyway.
'O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?'
I played Bassanio in Merchant of Venice a couple of years ago which is about as close as I got to a romantic lead...
I'm not sure actually. Project Gutenberg reports this:
"O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name!
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I'll no longer be a Capulet."
and then:
"Jul. 'Tis but thy name that is my enemy.
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!".
You are correct, 'wherefore' is used there. I probably wasn't paying attention when I actually read it, and 'why' seemed to fit in there well.
